What is agent conversion optimization?

Agent conversion optimization is the practice of improving a store's product data, proof, and policies so that AI shopping agents choose its products when comparing them against competitors. It is conversion rate optimization where the buyer is an AI agent instead of a human.

What is an agent win rate?

Agent win rate is the share of simulated buyer queries where an AI shopping agent picks your product over alternatives. Bismion runs a fixed panel of buyer-intent queries through a real AI agent against your catalog and reports the percentage you win, so the metric is stable and comparable across runs.

How is Bismion different from AI visibility or GEO monitoring tools?

Visibility and GEO monitoring tools report whether AI engines mention or cite your brand. Bismion measures the decision after discovery: whether the agent actually recommends your product, why it picks a competitor when you lose, and which fixes flip that verdict. Monitoring describes the problem; Bismion acts on it.

Why would an AI agent pick a competitor over my product?

Agents compare verifiable evidence: structured product data, clear pricing and availability, attached shipping and return policies, certifications, and answer-ready FAQ content. A competitor with complete, citable evidence usually beats a better product with weak data. Bismion names the exact losing factors per query.

Do generated fixes publish to my store automatically?

No. Every generated fix in Bismion is gated behind explicit merchant approval. You review the proposed change, approve or reject it, and nothing is written to your store without that approval.

Do I need to connect Shopify to try Bismion?

No. The first agent-readiness audit runs from your public store URL alone — no credentials, no OAuth. Connecting Shopify later unlocks catalog import, recurring scans, and before/after win-rate reports.

Does this matter yet? Are AI agents really buying things?

Agentic checkout infrastructure from OpenAI, Stripe, Google, and Shopify is rolling out now. That infrastructure makes every merchant reachable by agents — it does not make any merchant chosen. The brands that win agent comparisons early will compound the advantage as agent-driven purchase volume grows.
